Unique page codes for legal documents
Law firms, courts and auditors use Bates numbers to identify every single page in a set of documents. Each page gets a unique code made of your prefix and a zero-padded number, such as SMITH-000101. To continue numbering across several files, start the next file where the last one ended.
Private by design
Bates numbering runs entirely in your browser. Your file is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to a server, there's no sign-up, and the result is ready to download as soon as it's done.
Questions
Can I continue numbering from a previous file?
Yes. Set the start number to one more than the last number you used.
Where does the number go?
At the bottom left, center or right, or the top right, on a small white box so it stays readable.
Can I add a suffix too?
Yes. Type it in the Suffix box.
